Bigotry was served Thursday at the White House Congressional Ball, with President Donald Trump leading the way.
Trump used the festive occasion to involve Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) in another taunt at Somalis after the president’s hate-filled rally earlier this week.

“Tom is very friendly with the Somalians, you know, he’s doing a great job,” Trump said sarcastically to laughter. “He’s a big fan. He’s a big fan of Somalia.”
Seemingly looking toward Emmer, Trump added, “He said, ‘Please correct that.’”
Then someone yelled out, “Send them home! Send them home!”
“Thank you, Tom, very much,” Trump said.
First lady Melania Trump did not laugh as she stood by.
The “send them home” chant somewhat echoed the “Send her back!” that broke out after Trump baselessly accused Somali American Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) of marrying her brother to gain U.S. citizenship during his Pennsylvania speech.
Trump has turbocharged his racist rhetoric since allegations of the Somali community’s involvement in fraudulent use of Minnesota funds emerged. At his Mount Pocono event, he veered from a speech about curbing inflation to a broadside against immigrants from “hellholes like Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia and other countries.”

“Why is it we only take people from ******** countries, right?” Trump said. “Why can’t we have some people from Norway, Sweden, just a few?”
