President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social Wednesday night that he has signed the bill to release the entire trove of the Jeffrey Epstein files, making good on his promise to do so even though he could have released the files without an act of Congress.
The president, a one-time associate of Epstein who appears in the files, tried to distance himself from the late financier and emphasize Democrats’ ties to him. In fact, he mentioned the Democrats 11 times in the post.
“Jeffrey Epstein, who was charged by the Trump Justice Department in 2019 (Not the Democrats!), was a lifelong Democrat, donated Thousands of Dollars to Democrat Politicians, and was deeply associated with many well-known Democrat figures,” Trump wrote.

“Democrats have used the ‘Epstein’ issue, which affects them far more than the Republican Party, in order to try and distract from our AMAZING Victories,” he added.
