'Shut The **** Up': Kevin McCarthy Roasted Over His Reaction To Platner Allegations

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was torched on social media after his response to ****** assault allegations against Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner.

"The one thing I know about Republicans, when we had a very bad candidate and found out, we didn't vote for that person," McCarthy said during a Fox News appearance on Monday. McCarthy then referenced former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and compared his failed nomination for President Donald Trump's attorney general to the Platner allegations.

Numerous critics on social media blasted McCarthy for the comments, pointing to his continued support for Trump, who has faced many allegations of ****** misconduct and assault, including one case where he was found liable for the ****** abuse of writer E. Jean Carroll.

The Supreme Court recently rejected Trump's effort to have the $5 million verdict in that case thrown out. He has yet to pay Carroll.

More than two dozen women have accused Trump of ****** assault or misconduct, with some allegations going back to the 1980s. He has denied any accusations of wrongdoing in those cases.

Other commenters referenced Trump's conviction on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to hush money that was paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels:
