Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-La.) sure seems out of the loop for someone who's supposed to be in charge.
Johnson turned to one of his tried-and-true excuses when a reporter asked about Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers' second fatal shooting incident in the past week.

Appearing to visibly tense up at the news that officers were reportedly not wearing body cameras when they killed Joan Sebastián Guerrero, a 26-year-old father from Colombia, during a vehicle stop in Biddeford, Maine, on Monday, Johnson said, "Uh, I don't know anything about this event."
"I was a little busy yesterday, so I'm going to reserve judgment. I know that there was a tragic shooting," he added before throwing his hands up as he told the press, "I'm not going to comment because I don't know."
Realizing the optics of his head-in-the-sand answer, the Louisiana Republican added, "And you guys can mock me for not knowing that. I worked about 22 hours the last few days."

Johnson routinely ducks questions with a shrug.
Asked about President Donald Trump saying he doesn't think about Americans' financial situations back in May, the speaker said he didn't "know the context" of the remark.

Pressed to confirm whether Jan. 6 rioters would be eligible for payouts through the president's since-scuttled $1.8 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund" just a week later, Johnson claimed, "We don't know any of the details of that settlement fund."
Called to share his take on the possibility of the U.S. lifting sanctions against Iran in June, he said negotiations included "a lot of moving parts" and that he was too busy managing the House to weigh in.
Johnson's "IDK" refrain gave CNN enough material to whip up a breakneck supercut of his brush-offs last fall, where he shuts down seven different topics in less than 30 seconds.
