Marjorie Taylor Greene Accuses Trump Of MAGA ‘Bait And Switch’ After Iran Attack

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) accused President Donald Trump of pulling a “bait and switch” on his MAGA base after ordering U.S. airstrikes on Iran.

The far-right Republican, a long-standing Trump ally, has split with the president over his decision to side with Israel and attack Iran this weekend, and has repeatedly expressed her dismay about the decision.

In her latest blast at the president Monday, Greene outlined on X how Trump has retreated from “key promises.”

“Only 6 months in and we are back into foreign wars, regime change, and world war,” she wrote.

“It feels like a complete bait and switch to please the neocons, warmongers, military industrial complex contracts, and neocon tv personalities that MAGA hates and who were NEVER TRUMPERS!”

She added, “Contrary to [what] brainwashed Democrat boomers think and protest about, Trump is not a king, MAGA is not a cult, and I can and DO have my own opinion.”

On Saturday, the U.S. launched an unprecedented stealth-bomber strike on three Iranian nuclear sites.

Hours after inserting America into the Israel-Iran war, Trump floated the prospect of overthrowing the Iranian government.

“If the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???” he asked on his Truth Social website.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt later described Trump as “simply raising a question.”

Iran retaliated for the American bombing by launching missile attacks Monday on a U.S. military bases in Qatar and Iraq.
